The Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce held it's annual Business Excellence Awards in early 2018. A representative group of staff and board members were on hand with CEO Martin Jones to accept their award as Gresham's Non Profit of the Year! This coveted award is given to the local non-profit that distinguishes itself in the community for excellence in business while having a major positive impact on the community it serves.

While continuing to provide gavel-to-gavel television coverage of local government meetings, support for local school districts and other non-profits, and low-cost media education and resources for the public, MetroEast has also branched out over the past year into Digital inclusion work and free programs for youth in their new satellite location, Rockwood DIY, located in the heart of Gresham's Rockwood neighborhood.

MetroEast's Director of Community Relations, Monica Weitzel, said they was honored to accept this award, especially considering the high caliber of non-profits that can be found in the Gresham area. "We are most grateful for the continued support of our neighbors and friends in East County and beyond."
